A day at Weave

With our year anniversary fast approaching (stay tuned to our Twitter feed for details about how we’ll be celebrating!) we thought we’d give you a peek into a typical day here at Weave.

8.00 am - Coffee is the first port of call! I like to spend some time in the mornings checking in with our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages as well as catching up on some of my favourite fashion blogs.

9.30 am – We’re open from 10am but I like to get in a bit earlier to run through stock, check out our displays and generally make sure everything is ship-shape! This morning though, I’m over in the Northern Quarter for a meeting with a cool Danish brand who we’ll hopefully be bringing into the store later this year. I’m always on the hunt for new collections and standout pieces so these viewings are essential.

12.00 pm – I normally grab something from one of the fab delis or bars around Shaw Road for lunch – they are all packed with locally sourced food and drink, and Shaw Road really comes to life on the first Sunday of the month when the market is in full flow. Lunchtime is also a good opportunity to check-in on our online orders. We offer free delivery on all purchases which means our customers don’t have to make the trip to the store if they’d rather shop from their sofa!

2.00pm – It feels like summer is finally making an appearance and we’ve had lots more shoppers in looking to get their holiday wardrobe sorted. We’ve got some great new pieces in to make the most of the warmer weather – from Indian summer inspired shirts to accessories that keep you cool, to some great stripy culottes – a big trend this season.

4.00 pm – We’ve been busy working with local businesses to organise a charity fashion show, so it’s all hands on deck on the final preparations for that. It’s been great to get involved – piecing together outfits, organising the models, picking up raffle prizes as well as selling tickets, with the event now sold out! It should be a great evening and an opportunity to have some drinks, browse the latest trends and of course raise some money for a local charity. Keep tuned to our Twitter for some snaps of the evening, and for future events.

That’s all for now – see you at Weave soon!
